WE BUILD WALLS:
The Violinist & Consequences
Space Venues @ Jury's Inn,
2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival
KinkyFish returned to the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a bold double-bill presentation of Matthew Kirton’s The Violinist and Duncan Battman’s Consequences, under the banner 'We Build Walls'. Exploring issues of child trafficking and the exploitation of women, the production had already created a strong reaction following its preview at The London Theatre and The Tabard theatre earlier in the year.

The Violinist was selected as one of the winners of KinkyFish's 2011 writing competition, which invited submissions from new writers meeting the brief ‘Hope & Rage’. It was nominated for a Fringe First Award at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It's companion piece Consequences was written by Duncan Battman, whose work addresses controversial and often divisive topics with sensitivity and humour.
