Ever felt lost amongst the millions in London?

New writer April Kelley has collaborated with experiential theatre company KinkyFish to tell the stories of life in London in the 21st century. With an ensemble of various characters we normally push past without a second thought, on this occasion we pause to hear the humorous, heart-warming and harrowing tales of each. Narrated by a local observer on a busy street who is concerned about the way people are living their lives, he states, “Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.”

But what will it take for people to realise this? Can a lost soul ever find a place amidst the busyness?

Hello everyone!

It has been a busy few months for the KinkyFish. We chose 2 winners from our script writing competition.We are delighted to be working on 2 wonderful scripts by our writers April Kelley and Matthew Kirton.

We are also to pleased to announce 3 new fish have joined us for this exciting project and would like to welcome Ellie Moore, Nina Bright and Rhys Wilson to the KinkyFish family. Our website will be updated soon with our new member and details of the next production.

The Fish

KinkyFish are delighted to be working with two up-and-coming writers developing two exciting plays to bring to London audiences this November.

The Violinist by Matthew Kirton
A gifted violinist’s life begins to unravel when her Father’s innocuous visit to the authorities will see a lifetime of deceit and deception surface.

Too Busy to Think of a Title by April Kelley
A non-naturalistic ensemble piece narrated to us through a local observer on a busy London street watching extreme characters as they carry out their daily routines.

KinkyFish are a self-funded theatre company who profit share at the end of each project. We are looking for new members to join us on this exciting phase in the KinkyFish journey.

1. Male (age 20 – 45)
Height: 5’11″ or taller
Looking for a masculine, well-built actor with physical presence.
Needs to be intimidating & at times aggressive
Acting experience required

2. Female (age 20 – 30)
Height – 5’1″ – 5’6″
Looking for a petite actress. At times the role will flashback in time so actress will be required to act/look younger.
Required to have strong vocals & confidence at times
Acting experience required
Other skills: Violin (preferred but not required)

KinkyFish are pleased to announce the two winners of our recent Hope & Rage writing competition.

KinkyFish previewed on Saturday to a near sell out crowd and continue our run with great audiences and excellent feedback. We are one of the top 5 recommended shows at The Space Venues as reviewed by www.fringereview.co.uk
